Unified Basketball
The Unified Basketball tournament took place on Friday 10th March at Wales High School, Sheffield.
The event enabled teams comprised of students with and without intellectual disabilities to compete alongside one another in meaningful competition. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.
The event was a huge success with schools from across South Yorkshire taking part in this fantastic inclusive competition.
We would like to congratulate all of the students who participated, and increased their confidence, and developed skills. But more importantly, we’d like to congratulate all of the pupils for creating new friendships.
