Sport Relief 2014

Friday 21st March

Sport relief aims to beat the record amount of money raised for the charity this year and children from Sheffield’s schools were determined to contribute to this figure. Over 150 children from Seven Hills school, Phillimore primary school and Emmaus primary school took part in a mile run, jog or walk around the indoor track at the EIS in Sheffield, to help contribute to the overall total raised. The event which is being run by Links School Sport Partnership raised £200 for sport relief.

To complete the mile, a total of nine laps of the track needed to be finished, many of the children ran in groups singing their favourite songs and having a fabulous time. Everyone that took part completed the mile run with some of the children loving the event so much they ended up doing over 20 laps!

The children enjoyed the event massively, and as they were getting ready to leave some children were planning their fundraising for the next year!

We were also excited to see some great fundraising and activities over at Woolley Wood School.  It was great to see everyone involved.

What did you do for Sport Relief?  Let us know!

Pictures of the event will be on the Links website, Facebook and twitter page.
