Sheffield Skipathon!

We just wanted to thank you for engaging with the Sheffield Schools Skipathon. It has been amazing to see so many pupils across Sheffield getting involved and we should have over 16,000 children taking part in Skipping across the city.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Chris and Jodi at the Skipping School for their engagement and supporting us to get this project running across the city. Chris was on BBC Radio Sheffield with Toby Foster this morning and the Skipathon should also be featuring in the Sheffield Star too- so keep your eyes peeled! Keep sending us those photos and videos and tweeting us what you are up to! We have LOVED seeing everyone taking part and the smiles on faces of pupils, staff and even office staff, caretakers and headteachers too!

For those of you that have had to postpone your Skipathon or certain bits of it due to bubbles going down, teachers isolating or just general madness in school then don’t worry- the resources are there for you to use and the videos will stay online for the rest of term. Also if you have completed the Skipathon this week then nothing stopping you from continuing and accessing extra skipping at a time to suit the school.

The success of the programme will mean that the Sheffield Schools Skipathon is likely to become an annual event.

For those of you that ticked to receive more information from the Skipping School as to how they could support your school with CPD sessions, Skipping Days in School, Skipping Leader training etc. then Chris and Jodi will be in touch in the coming weeks.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this project!
