The Sheffield PE and School Sport Conference took place on Wednesday 27th September.

It was fantastic to see so many PE Coordinators, and headteachers from schools across the city in attendance.

Alongside an update of the PE and School Sport Premium funding, there was a large focus on health and wellbeing, with keynotes on ‘Creating a Culture of Active Lessons’, and also ‘The Importance of the Education Sector in Tackling Childhood Obesity’.  There was also a wide range of workshops that the delegates could attend, and a marketplace which was comprised of stands from some of our local partners.

A big thank you to Ivy Dorchester-Brown, Jon Smedley, and Paul Gately for their fantastic key notes.

We also want to thank those who ran the marketplace stalls who help support the high quality PE and School Sport provision that takes place in the city.

Finally, we would like to thank all school staff for attending, networking, and sharing ideas on the day!  It was brilliant to see so many of you there!
