MOVband Final Update

 

After taking the challenge of MOVband I completed week 2 trying to increase my activity.  Wearing the watch helped me to put in the extra effort and at the end of the week I managed to beat my previous weeks mileage score by 6 miles!  That’s quite a lot of extra activity by simply putting in more small tasks and activities.

 

To help increase my activity I simply added in quick simple circuits during spare time (like a Zumba class) to help increase my heart rate and get more active.  These could be as quick as 15-20 minutes but making the effort to do them helped to increase my daily activity.  I also used very little equipment so that they could be implemented anywhere which made it much easier to keep going.

 

I am glad I took the challenge as I think it made me more aware of the amount of activity I did in a day and just simple ways I can be more active.  I now make an effort to park further away from schools and places of work to just add small bits that accumulate over the week!
