MOVband Challenge – 1 Week In!

I’ve been using the MOVband for just over a week now to see how much activity I do generally.  I have been quite surprised by how much movement I do on particular days and how little on some others!  Wearing the watch certainly makes you more aware of how much movement you do in a day, especially when you are sat for long periods (and the counter doesn’t go up!).  The watch has been easy to wear as it is really lightweight and slim.  It has triggered a few questions as to why I am wearing two watches which started a nice discussion about what the watch was for and that there was more to it.  The battery lasts around 2 days – I found this out after I forgot to charge it after the second day!

Uploading your data is easy on the website provided for the challenge.  It is best to input the data daily so that it can be tracked and you can see a graph showing your movement over multiple days.  If you input it all at once it will look like you have done an incredible amount of activity that day!

Activity so far

So after 1 week how much activity have I actually done?

In my normal working week I have done 64 Miles of movement which is roughly 6785 calories burnt!

On my busiest day I managed to clock 13.5 Miles of movement and on my least busy day I managed 5.6 Miles.

Week 2 – The Challenge

I am now onto the second week and it is now the week to try and beat my current activity and get more active!

I will be using the resources provided by MOVband to get the most from the watch and improve my health and fitness.

I will post another midweek update to see if I am increasing my activity!

Stay Tuned!
