Links Coach, Rachel Mowat goes to Tanzania!

I undertook an 8-week work place through university where I was fortunate enough to travel to Tanzania. Through this placement I was coaching with a local football programme called ‘Future Stars’, what made me interested in the programme was that the aim were to give equal opportunities to upper and lower class. On my travels through the communities in Tanzania I saw a lot of deprived areas where children had no inspirations, but through this programme it given them a chance to get out of the community and to have professional coaching. I was privileged enough to be a coach at the programme and see the amazing impacts this coaching had on the children, giving them hope of a better life. As Links is always trying to influence PE and better standards of life through our work, I thought the values shared with Future Stars, which is why I given the children the Links SSP t-shirts to wear with pride.
