March Roundup
Here’s a look back at what you’ve all been up to through March as we’ve had some great events with some amazing performances from you guys!
Y7/8 Sports hall athletics –
Well done to all the schools who competed in the City Final on the 14th February. Springs Academy Y7 Girls and the Y8 Notre Dame girls made it through to the South Yorkshire School Games Final. The Notre Dame girls took home a bronze medal and the Springs Academy girls took home the silver.
The Spring Academy girls went on to compete in the regional competition in Hull on the 18th March. The girls worked hard and managed to finish 4th in the whole of Yorkshire and Humberside! Well Done Girls!
well done all Links schools who competed at the City final on 14th Feb. Boccia –
Bents Green school managed to take gold in the south Yorkshire School Games Boccia Final. Well done for this excellent result!
Judo –
With this emerging sport in the School Games and one that is completely new to Links SSP we have had a brilliant reception to it. Well done to everyone who took part in the Judo at the City Festival in Wisewood on the 5th March.
St Maries took home a silver medal from the South Yorkshire School Games Final, so an extra well done to them!
Y5/6 sports hall athletics –
An incredible double results for Links with St Wilfrids and St Maries taking 1st and 2nd place. St Wilfrids also managed to take home a Silver at the South Yorkshire School Games Final and with St Maries just missing out on a medal in 4th place. Well Done to both schools!
Y5 Hotshots basketball –
St Thomas of Canterbury and Prince Edwards made it through from the Links SSP final to the City final on 28th March. Good Luck to all.
