The 2012 School Games are a Government initiative to help develop more competition in and between schools but also to provide a platform for young, elite athletes to compete in.  This is an area Links has been working closely with and has helped schools deliver competition within school and between schools so as to get the most from the School Games.   With the Olympics fast approaching this has been an exciting build up to run alongside and to see new and young talent developing and engaging actively with sport.

The school games has a strand within it that focussed on young, elite athletes that helped them compete to an appropriate level.  This started with local competitions concluding with events taking place within the Olympic Venues that will be used this year!  This was an exciting prospect for the young athletes as they competed in the same grounds as their sporting idols will do this year.  This concluded on the 9th May 2012 and the results and photos are now available on the 2012 School Games website.  If you are interested in finding out a little more information about the School Games or would like to find out the results of particular events then head across to the web site through this link HERE
